Barefooting requires the skier to travel at higher speeds, speed can be approximated by the following formula: skier weigh / 10 + 25. We never used the formula on high elevation Blue Mesa Lake, at 7,519 the little 1992 ski boat had to be held wide open to achieve Barefooting speeds.
